Retail activation: Game Mania Fortnite Challenge
In order to attract a new and younger audience, Game Mania hosted a special Fortnite Challenge in all of their 82 stores in Belgium and the Netherlands. Vertigo 6 helped drive traffic to the stores through influencer marketing, community marketing and earned attention.
The Fortnite Challenge is a unique retail activation, that challenges consumers to visit a Game Mania store and play Fortnite. If someone manages to win an online game, they receive a prize.
Influencer & community marketing
In order to drive traffic towards Game Mania stores, we partnered up with hugely popular Fortnite player Yarasky. The Dutch streamer is hugely influential and called on his fans to take on the challenge on both YouTube (711.000 subscribers) and Instagram (193.000 followers). Furthermore, we did a brand cooperation with some of the most popular Fortnite Instagram pages in the Netherlands, generating hundreds of thousands of views.
Additionally, Vertigo 6 created a press release and sent it out to gaming and retail media within the Benelux, resulting in publications by XGN, Emerce, Entertainment Business and more.
High visibility online and thousands of young consumers leaving home and meeting other Fortnite players at their local Game Mania store.
