How to launch a product instore during the COVID-19 pandemic? Logitech G challenged us to launch the new G923 steering wheel 2.0 style at MediaMarkt Hoog Catharijne whist respecting the Corona guislines.

The newly launched Logitech G923 racing wheel with TRUEFORCE™ technology offers maximum realism, the G923 is a revolution in simracing experience. We wanted consumers to experience this on multiple setups for to ‘feel the force’ and compete to win a G923 of their own.

Simracing can be challenging for newcomers so we invites Logitech G Challenge winner and Veloce Esports simracer Isaac Gilissen to host clinics for consumers during the day. The entire clinic was broadcasted instore on a huge video screen.

We didn’t want big lines or a massive crowd to make sure everything was COVID-19 proof. But we still needed to get exposure… so the answer was simple, we live streamed the entire event. We had eight different camera-angles to stream to several channels at the same time. In cooperation with ZIVA events we set up a mobile streaming studio, Logitech G eRacing community advisor MaximeMXM showed of the new G923 while previewing the Spa-Francorchamps Grand Prix that took place a day later. Logitech G ambassadors and popular streamer vThorben and Ronald streamed their racing experiences while Gameking and simrace fanatic Koos Mooten hosted the entire event.

At the event, we had boots on the ground to manage all sorts of things related to the event, to coordinate the influencers, and to help the camera crew shoot the aftermovie.

With over 500 people attending and many hundreds of thousands of online impressions, it was a big success!
