Trek Bikes is one of the biggest bicycle manufacturers in the United States for consumers and professionals. In the Netherlands they are well-known for their sports- and mountain bikes. But they also produce high quality e-bikes. To create more awareness for their Trek as brand for e-bikes we combined an online campaign with print advertising.
With a relatively broad audience of man and woman with the age of 30 till 55 years old, a combination of online and offline advertising made perfect sense. A big part of the audience will probably be online a lot, but not everyone. After research on with magazines in the Netherlands had readers of this age with an interest in cycling, we placed adverts in Volkskrant Magazine and Max Magazine. With a vertical video ad and a carousel ad on news platforms as Volkskrant.nl and Nu.nl, we exemplified the effect of the offline campaign.
In the results of the online campaign Volkskrant.nl was one of the best converting platforms with the highest CTR!
